Mackenzie did so good for the first half of his session. Unfortunatly he has acid reflux and didn’t do so well after he ate. Since my second son had it, I knew all about it and understood completely. We still got some amazing shots! And no accidents again, woohoo. Hopefully when I see him again his medicine will be working and he’ll be a happy baby!

I got a few new props and was itching to try them out. Jacob arrived just in time. His momma really loves props in newborn images, so it worked out perfect. He was really good and we didn’t have any accidents. He slept most of the time and didn’t mind too much being moved from set-up to set-up. I just love his cubby cheeks in the one of him propped up on his arms. Enjoy your sneak peek, I can’t wait to show you the rest.

Meet Abigail. 7 days old, still tiny, sleepy and bendy…..just like I like em. She’s the first newborn I’ve been able to get to do “The Pose”. Which is the head resting on hands pose and it’s a favorite in newborn photography right now. She was great and slept most of the session.  I can’t wait to photograph her again.

Meet Allison…….she came to me at almost 4 weeks old, but you would never know it. She did wonderful and slept almost the whole time. I haven’t had a girl in a while and I loved it. I have a ton of favs so I’m sharing a bit more than usual. I can’t wait to see you again.

Here’s rylan at only 5 days old. One of my youngest newborns in a while. We had a great session. He was awake for a few shots and then passed right out. We were able to try out my new hanging cocoon and I think it turned out pretty cool. I can’t wait to watch you grow and change.

Meet baby “L”. He’s 3 weeks here and still so tiny. He did great. They came to the studio and he stayed asleep for just long enough and then we got some good awake ones. I hope to be able to see him again when he’s a bit bigger and older.

Here’s baby “A”, all of 7 days old. She did great, awake for some, then asleep for some. Hopefully she took a nice long nap after I left. I think I wore her out. But it was all worth it for these wonderful images. I can’t wait to watch her change and grow through out the year.

I’m wanting to update my portfolio and decided to run a casting call to fulfill those needs. I’m looking for newborn twins or triplets 2 weeks and younger. I’m also looking for newborns 2 weeks and younger that are any other race than Caucasian (African American, Asian, Hispanic, etc.) I’m also looking for some cool, hip, fun families, for pics taken in urban/downtown areas.

You will receive a complimentary session, as well as one digital file printable up to 5×7. You may purchase extra prints or files at my current pricing.

A signed model release is required so that I can use the images on my website, marketing materials, etc.

If you or anyone you know fits those categories contact me at melissa@melissadphotos.com or 817-915-3689

And just because I don’t like posts without a pic, here’s a new favorite of Brax.

Meet Emery

September 8, 2007

I know it’s been way too long without an update…….I’ve been busy, sorry. Here a sneak peak at Emery’s newborn pics. She was a good sleeper and only really cried when she got hungry. I really enjoyed our time together……she definately gave me baby fever.
