A few weeks ago we decided on a whim to go to a beachy area at Grapevine Lake. My hubby wanted to use his new toy, a metal detector, and the boys had a blast playing in the sand. It was alittle sunny when we got there but quickly got very cloudy and windy. We stayed until it looked like it was gonna pour. They were so busy collecting shells and rocks they wouldn’t look at me, but still made for some cute shots. Stayed tuned for more cute pics of the boys and my niece and nephew. Were headed to the pumpkin patch today.

Sweet Sophia is 1. We celebrated with a photoshoot in her awesome backyard. She did great. I just love her beautiful blue eyes and baby chub. She loved being outside and exploring. It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year already. I still remember her newborn session like it was yesterday. I hope to see her again soon.

Mr. Trenton came to me to celebrate turning one. He was very shy and took awhile to warm up. But Dad was able to get some smiles until he warmed up to me. By the end he was acting like his normal, cute, rowdy self. We got a good combo of outside, studio and ended with a cake smash. He didn’t really eat his cake, but did play in it some before he was done. We got some really cute images and hopefully next time he won’t be as shy.

My boys love dirt. And this summer they have gone crazy with it. Since it’s so dry, we have a few dirt patches in our backyard and that’s all they want to do outside is play in the dirt. Brax is obsessed with it and gets super dirty multiple times a day. Ian will usually only go out there in the evening when it’s “alittle” cooler. Since it was almost bath time, I took their shirts off and tried to capture them in the moment being dirty boys. Of coarse they decided to show off instead and be silly. I might try again and be more sneaky with the camera. But I still love these anyways.

We celebrated the 4th of july last night at my Aunt and Uncle’s house. Everyone had a blast. Good food, water guns, cute tiny puppy, basketball and of coarse fireworks. Today we’ll be celebrating at my moms pool and then watching the local fireworks show. Lots of fun this weekend. I already can’t wait till next year.

I was at JoAnns the other day and saw that the color bubbles were 60% off. So we got a few bottles and had my niece and nephew join in the fun this time. My niece loved it. She colored her brother and Ian all green to be the hulk and didn’t want to wash the colors off. She’s really into art so I had a feeling she would love it. My boys had fun as usual painting themselves and each other.

Kirsten, Jeff and Blake came to me to document Blake recently turning one. We started outside, but decided pretty quickly we were done with the heat and bugs. So we finished up inside my very cool studio. Blake did great. He really loved to knock his cowboy hat off, so we got a few great smiles doing it over and over. And we ended the session with a few of just mom and dad, because Blake is soon to be a big brother. I can’t wait to meet their new little guy soon.

I had seen another photographers pics of her kids playing with colored bubbles and it looked like alot of fun. When I showed Ian, he had to have them. So we made a quick trip to Target to pick some up. I knew they were very messy so I had them play with them in the pool. Once they figured out they could just paint with them that’s all they did. They had a blast and I got some cool pics. They loved to paint themselves and each other. And surprisingly it all washed off easily. Ian’s already asking to get some more. Maybe we’ll get different colors next time.

Meet 2 cute girls and their cute cousins. For round one we met up at Eagle Mountain Park. We got a few group shots and the little one was done. She had missed her nap that day and it was really hot, even at 6pm. So we did round 2 in my studio. She started out ok, got a few with her sister then was upset again. So, blocks to the rescue. She finally started to play and actually smile for the camera. I’m really glad we tried again and got some great images.  Mom is expecting #3 so I hope to see them all again soon.

Mr. Henry is back and is about to turn 1. I first met him in his momma’s belly, then as a newborn, and now a talking and walking almost one year old. We met up at the Grapvine Train Depot for a mini session to celebrate. At first he was alittle shy and not too sure what to think, but quickly warmed up and did awesome. I have alot of faves. He’s too cute and has a great smile and great hair. Even though the wind made it alittle crazy at times. Hope to see you again soon little dude.
