Meet Jory. He was alittle undecided about sleep at his session. So I got a nice mix of asleep and awake shots. His daddy’s a fire fighter so we incorporated his gear into a few shots. I love the way the first one turned out. He was on the large side when born, so we had to get a shot on the scale. He also had great skin and lips and apparently his daddy’s grump face. He furrowed his brow almost the whole session no matter what we did to relax his face. It was pretty cute though.

Meet Mr. JD, who decided to be awake the whole session. But for the most part he was pretty calm and oh so cute. Mom and Dad said he wasn’t much of a sleeper and they were right. I can’t wait to see him again soon.

Miss Peyton came to me at 13 days old and took alittle while to get to sleep. She needed to be really warm and lots of shooshing. Thanks so much mom and dad for taking turns shooshing and working up a sweat. But the images we got make all the hard work worth it. She’s so cute with beautiful skin and great lips. I can’t wait to see her again soon. Oh, and I have to thank my very talented father in law for making the very cute doll bed prop. I love it!

Sweet Dorothy came to me at 7 days old. Our session started out alittle rough, but once she had a full belly and was nice and warm she slept soundly. We moved her into a variety of props and she let me pose her so perfectly. I can’t wait to see her again soon. And don’t worry, we do have plans to use ruby slippers at a future session.

Mr. Knox came to me for the first time at 4 days old. We were able to get about half a session out of him and he was done. So he came back again at 8 days and we were able to finish up. But he’s so cute I didn’t mind getting to cuddle him twice. Here’s a large sneak peek just cause I had so many favs. I can’t wait to see you again soon.

These sweet twins were born right before Christmas. After a short stay in the nicu they got to come home. And here they are about 4 weeks old. They did great for their session. Slept thru almost everything, including being put in daddy’s boot. I can’t wait to see how big they are at their next session.

Meet Camden. Little officer in training with daddy’s badge. He came to me at 3 weeks old. Alittle older than most the newborns I photograph, but he did great. Awake for a few shots with big sis, then with a full belly he was out for the rest of the shoot. I’m so glad I was able to capture these images for them and I hope to see Camden again soon.

2011 has been a great year. I’ve met about 40 new babies this year and loved every min. of photographing them. They are definately my favorite subjects and the most rewarding sessions. I want to thank all my clients, new and returning, but especially all the new moms and dads. Thank you for letting me capture those first fleeting moments of your new baby’s life. They fly by really fast.  Here’s to watching them grow and change and the many new babies I hope to meet in 2012. Click the image below to view the slidshow.

Miss Reagan was great for the first half of her first session. Slept great, posed great and even gave me a few smiles. But when she woke up she was not happy. So mom came back for a second session to finish up. Luckily she slept for what we needed to finish. I can’t wait to watch her grow and change.

Meet Charlotte. I love her name. If I had a girl I was going to name her Charlotte. She did great for her session. Slept almost the whole time and let me move her from prop to prop. Her parents brought the cutest props too. It was a great session and I have many favorites. I can’t wait to watch her grow.
