Abbie is back and she’s another year older. I can’t believe she’s already 2. We meet at Eagle Mountain Park for a mini session. And as most 2 yr olds, she just wanted to run and explore. So we caught her when we could and took shots of her exploring. It was great to catch up and maybe she’ll be less on the go by age 3.

We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch this last weekend. We’ve been going to the same one since before Ian was born. And we always go with my sister and her kids. This time the kids did better with pictures, but it was crazy busy. Which made it hard to get some of the shots I wanted without a bunch of people in the background. But we still had lots of fun, picked pumpkins, and ate popcorn. We carved our pumpkin last night. I’ll make sure and take pics of it with the boys in their costumes. I can’t wait for Halloween.

A few weeks ago we decided on a whim to go to a beachy area at Grapevine Lake. My hubby wanted to use his new toy, a metal detector, and the boys had a blast playing in the sand. It was alittle sunny when we got there but quickly got very cloudy and windy. We stayed until it looked like it was gonna pour. They were so busy collecting shells and rocks they wouldn’t look at me, but still made for some cute shots. Stayed tuned for more cute pics of the boys and my niece and nephew. Were headed to the pumpkin patch today.

Meet Gabriella and Josiah. Two of the cutiest babies I’ve seen in a while. They both did great. Josiah was full of smiles and Gabriella slept thru almost the whole session. But she did show us her beautiful eyes at the end. And we achieved the impossible, a sibling shot. Enjoy the large sneak peek, I had alot of favs from their session.

Sweet Sophia is 1. We celebrated with a photoshoot in her awesome backyard. She did great. I just love her beautiful blue eyes and baby chub. She loved being outside and exploring. It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year already. I still remember her newborn session like it was yesterday. I hope to see her again soon.

It’s finally starting to feel alittle like fall. This year I’m doing mini sessions for all of Oct. and Nov. These sessions are great for just about anything and a great way to get a few holiday pictures for cards or gifts. $150 includes a 45min. session and 10-12 images on CD. They can be booked anytime in Oct. and Nov. and can be at my studio or on-location. And the awesome red pedal car will be available for sessions in Oct. and maybe Nov. too. I’m borrowing it from my sister’s father in law. My boys loved it and it looks great in photos. Email me at melissa@melissadphotos.com for more info and to book.

Spencer is back. We did the ice cream mini session to celebrate turning 18mo. As any 18mo he’s all over the place. But with the help of mom and dad, itsy bitsy spider and the ice cream we got him to stay put for a few really cute shots. He was even showing off alittle and giving he some huge smiles. So cute! I also loved his bike shirt to match the bike in the background. It was a great session and I can’t wait to see Spencer again soon.

Mr. Trenton came to me to celebrate turning one. He was very shy and took awhile to warm up. But Dad was able to get some smiles until he warmed up to me. By the end he was acting like his normal, cute, rowdy self. We got a good combo of outside, studio and ended with a cake smash. He didn’t really eat his cake, but did play in it some before he was done. We got some really cute images and hopefully next time he won’t be as shy.

My boys love dirt. And this summer they have gone crazy with it. Since it’s so dry, we have a few dirt patches in our backyard and that’s all they want to do outside is play in the dirt. Brax is obsessed with it and gets super dirty multiple times a day. Ian will usually only go out there in the evening when it’s “alittle” cooler. Since it was almost bath time, I took their shirts off and tried to capture them in the moment being dirty boys. Of coarse they decided to show off instead and be silly. I might try again and be more sneaky with the camera. But I still love these anyways.

Meet Holden and Hudson. 7 days and 2 yrs. As most 2yr olds are, Hudson didn’t really want to sit still for a picture with his brother. But we did manage to keep him in the frame for a few shots. Holden on the other hand did great. Slept thru everything and let me pose and move him in and out of props. He was great with posing and even did a few of his own. And I love all of his dark hair. The most I’ve seen on a newborn in awhile. I have alot of favorites, enjoy.
