In celebration of the wonderful cooler weather, I’ve decided to offer a special. Any session booked thru the end of Sept. will be a free session. No session fee! Woohoo! The session must take place in Sept. and be at an outside location. There are many great locations to use, and I’m always up for trying new ones. Don’t hesitate, book now!! Christmas is coming and photos make great presents. Email me  melissa@melissadphotos.com or call 817-915-3689 I’ll leave you with a not so great image of my boys enjoying the cooler weather today. These days I’m very lucky to get them both sitting still next to each other. Much less both looking and smiling. But since there’re mine, I love it anyways.

My oldest son’s imagination is really starting to expand these days. He wanted to borrow one of my boxes to play with and this is what he did with it. He turned it into his “new tv”. He set it up and put his best buddy behind it and was laying there watching his tv. We asked him what show he was watching, he said it’s called Monkey Travel and then told us what the show was all about. He kept moving it to different places and adding different toys for new shows. Brax even joined in lining up cars to go on next. It was fun to watch and got me to remember when I was little and the things I would do and imagine.

My weekend was photoshoot free, so we decided to head back to my mom’s lake house again. The water was up pretty high and the beach that we normally play at was covered. But there was a little spot of sand that we found for the kids to dig in. And while my youngest napped we went exploring with the big kids. They collected quite a few shells and I took pics of the scenery. It was a nice little weekend getaway.

Here are my boys again. Just a few playing and a few with their new buzz lightyear water toy. Which they love! It’s fun to watch and a nice way to cool off outside.

On the last few days of my hubby’s vacation we decided on a whim to go to Oklahoma and take the kids to Turner Falls. The water was freezing, we only put our feet in. We hiked alittle, saw a ton of creepy daddy long leg spiders, a long wierd centiped, a cave and a castle. I meant to take a pic of the actual falls, but forgot. But did get a few good ones of the boys. We hope to go back and actually camp there, someday.

Mine and my sister’s family headed to the lake for 4th of July weekend. We were rained out the first 2 days and stuck in the house. But the sun finally came out on sunday so we packed up and went down to the beach. All the kids had a blast. They loved the sand and water. We all got alittle too much sun, but had fun anyways. The babies passed out (they look so cute asleep) and when they woke up we went back to get cleaned up to watch the fireworks. It was a great show across the lake and they were also being set off all around us too.  Both boys loved them and brax would even say “pow” after they went off. All in all a great weekend with the ones I love.

This last week I actually had time to take a few pics of my boys. I focused on close ups this time. Braxton just being cute and showing off his beautiful blue eyes and Ian’s cheesy smile and silly face again. Were headed to the lake this coming weekend for the 4th, I should have a bunch of pics to share when we get back.

Well, I missed monday again. I’m just too busy lately to keep up with mine on monday every monday. I think I’m gonna just do 1 or 2 mondays a month, for the summer atleast. Ok, I found this motorcycle on the curb around the corner from my house and we put a battery in it and it works. Woo hoo free entertainment. So far Brax loves it. And luckily Ian realizes he’s too big for it so no fighting over it. So far atleast. And Ian’s been wanting to make silly faces when I take his pic, which is cute and always gets a natural expression afterwards since he thinks its so funny.
