Meet Carolyn, Michael, Sam and the new baby surprise inside that cute little belly. Carolyn booked me for a newborn session then her hubby suggested she get a maternity session too. I’m glad she did and I’m sure she’ll be glad too. Unfortunatly Sam didn’t like the studio light, but did great outside. And atleast if that happens again it’s warm enough to shoot a newborn outside. I think it takes the right kind of person to keep the gender a surprise. I could never do it, but think it’s really cool for the couples who do. I can’t wait to find out, but I know either one will be adorable!

Kirsten, Jeff and Blake came to me to document Blake recently turning one. We started outside, but decided pretty quickly we were done with the heat and bugs. So we finished up inside my very cool studio. Blake did great. He really loved to knock his cowboy hat off, so we got a few great smiles doing it over and over. And we ended the session with a few of just mom and dad, because Blake is soon to be a big brother. I can’t wait to meet their new little guy soon.

Meet McCartney, Sam and Jason. I met them at their apartment in Deep Ellum for a lifestyle session. McCartney is about 7mo old, a great age for portraits. Sitting up really good, but not quite crawling yet. She did awesome. So happy and full of smiles. The original plan was to explore Deep Ellum a bit, but it was just way too hot. So we took some outside in their courtyard and then quickly went back inside where it’s was cool. I had a great time and hope to see you guys again soon.

Meet Lyssa, her hubby, and their adorable boys Trip and Cooper. This was a session to celebrate family and being together.  To cherish every moment they have together. Cooper has Hydrocephalus and Cerebral Palsy and will need brain surgery to help relieve the fluid and pressure off of his brain. Lyssa contacted me to get a family session asap and after hearing about Cooper I knew just how important this session was and decided to gift her the session and images. She’s one strong Mama and definately deserved it. So we met at the Botanic Gardens in Ft. Worth and had alot of fun. Her boys did great, even though they were alittle sleepy. I know she can’t wait to see these pictures and I can’t wait to show her the rest.

It’s spring. Or atleast the little amount of spring we actually get here in Texas. So I’ve decided to offer mini sessions again. But this time they will last alittle longer and have a few more images included. $150 includes a 45min session with 12 images on CD. Great for a variety of sessions, babies, families, toddlers, maternity, ect. Sessions can be in my studio or on-location. Book anytime in May. Email for more info. melissa@melissadphotos.com

Meet Landen and Garren. Two cute brothers who came to my studio to document turning 2yrs and 3 months old. They were such sweet and happy boys and did really well. I ended up with alot of favorites. And we ended the session just in time for Garren to take a nap. Hopefully I’ll get to see you guys again soon.

Miss Sophia is back for her 6mo photoshoot. We met at the botanic gardens in ft. worth. We had fun and she was good up until the last 10 min. or so. She was just getting over being sick and not feeling 100% yet. But we mananged to get a few smiles out of her. The weather and light were great and it was a short but sweet session. I can’t wait to see her again in 6 months.

It’s time for mini sessions. These are great sessions for in between the big milestones or if you just want to try me out for the first time, or just need some updated portraits. Great for babies, kids and families. The details: $150 includes a 30min session and 10 images on CD. Can be a studio session or location. Can be booked anytime in March. There’s a few new locations I’d love to try out as well as some new studio stuff I’m getting. So hurry and book now!!

Meet Cass. The first boy in my long streak of newborn girls. He was the sleepiest newborn I’ve had recently. Only needed to eat once and no accidents. It was great! His momma is very into what’s cool and new in newborn photography and brought the best props. And I’ve hoped on the christmas light bokeh bandwagon and added them into a few shots. Just to give them alittle extra magical christmas feel. Enjoy your sneak peek and I hope to see you again soon, in your neck of the woods.
