In celebration of the wonderful cooler weather, I’ve decided to offer a special. Any session booked thru the end of Sept. will be a free session. No session fee! Woohoo! The session must take place in Sept. and be at an outside location. There are many great locations to use, and I’m always up for trying new ones. Don’t hesitate, book now!! Christmas is coming and photos make great presents. Email me  melissa@melissadphotos.com or call 817-915-3689 I’ll leave you with a not so great image of my boys enjoying the cooler weather today. These days I’m very lucky to get them both sitting still next to each other. Much less both looking and smiling. But since there’re mine, I love it anyways.

Last Sun. I was invited to photograph a Jewish naming ceremony. It was held at the Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas. Timothy was 2 months old and getting his Jewish name. They celebrated the event with readings from family and friends followed by a wonderful meal. His big brother was alot of help too. I’m glad I got to be a part of the event and document it with my photography.

Heather and Mohan invited me to their beautiful home to capture their kids birthday party. Carson was turning 3 and Arlie was turning 1. They put up a cool bouncy house in the backyard. Carson was alittle scared at first and it was really hot, so went spent most of the party inside. I have to give major props to Heather, she actually made those awesome cakes from scratch.  Very cool. All the kids had a great time and really enjoyed their new toys.  Thanks for inviting me, it was a great way to spend my morning. Enjoy your sneak peek, there are many, many more.

Mine and my sister’s family headed to the lake for 4th of July weekend. We were rained out the first 2 days and stuck in the house. But the sun finally came out on sunday so we packed up and went down to the beach. All the kids had a blast. They loved the sand and water. We all got alittle too much sun, but had fun anyways. The babies passed out (they look so cute asleep) and when they woke up we went back to get cleaned up to watch the fireworks. It was a great show across the lake and they were also being set off all around us too.  Both boys loved them and brax would even say “pow” after they went off. All in all a great weekend with the ones I love.

Meet my best friend Emily, her hubby JD and their twin boys Aidan and Riley. I had this idea for a session I wanted to try out and she gladly offered up her family to try it on. It didn’t come out excatly like I had pictured it in my head, but still great none the less. I hope to get more families to practice on and perfect my idea. I think I need a few more props and a different location. Anyways, here’s the ones that turned out and I love them all. Emily, I hope you love them too!

I would love to win this title. So please go here   http://www.parentsconnect.com/parents-picks/dallas-tx-usa/best-dallas-fort-worth-family-photographer   and nominate me. Just look for my name and click nominate. You’ll need to register, then you can vote once per day. Thanks!! And what’s a post without a picture. Here’s another favorite from Maya’s 6mo session.

Miss Maya is back for her 6 month portraits and she has the bluest eyes I’ve seen in a while. They go great with her red hair. I can’t wait for it to get alittle longer and compare it to my own little red head. We took a few family shots in the studio and then ended with some of just Maya. The one with the tutu is my absolute favorite! I just love it! I can’t wait to see her for her 1 year session. I’m sure she’ll be running by then.

Time for mine on monday again. Ian got a new toy, Zurg from Toy Story, and has been playing with him and Buzz Lightyear alot. He has a big imagination. It’s fun to watch him play and hear the things he comes up with. He’s so funny. Brax has decided he will not give me eye contact if I have the camera out. I’m running out of tricks to get him to look at me. But even without eye contact, he’s still soooo cute!! I also managed to get one of them together, but they still wouldn’t look at me. Oh well, I love it anyways.

I’m offering a new mini session digital image package. Great for Maternity, Family and Baby sessions.

The Digital Mini Package includes a 45min. session on-location or studio and 5 digital images for only $250. This is a great deal. Book your session now.
