Archive for July, 2011

Spencer is back. We did the ice cream mini session to celebrate turning 18mo. As any 18mo he’s all over the place. But with the help of mom and dad, itsy bitsy spider and the ice cream we got him to stay put for a few really cute shots. He was even showing off alittle and giving he some huge smiles. So cute! I also loved his bike shirt to match the bike in the background. It was a great session and I can’t wait to see Spencer again soon.

Mr. Trenton came to me to celebrate turning one. He was very shy and took awhile to warm up. But Dad was able to get some smiles until he warmed up to me. By the end he was acting like his normal, cute, rowdy self. We got a good combo of outside, studio and ended with a cake smash. He didn’t really eat his cake, but did play in it some before he was done. We got some really cute images and hopefully next time he won’t be as shy.

My boys love dirt. And this summer they have gone crazy with it. Since it’s so dry, we have a few dirt patches in our backyard and that’s all they want to do outside is play in the dirt. Brax is obsessed with it and gets super dirty multiple times a day. Ian will usually only go out there in the evening when it’s “alittle” cooler. Since it was almost bath time, I took their shirts off and tried to capture them in the moment being dirty boys. Of coarse they decided to show off instead and be silly. I might try again and be more sneaky with the camera. But I still love these anyways.

Meet Jennifer and her cute little belly. She came to me to document her glowing pregnancy. We kept the session sweet and simple, to focus on the growing baby girl inside. I know she and her daughter will treasure these pictures forever.

Meet Holden and Hudson. 7 days and 2 yrs. As most 2yr olds are, Hudson didn’t really want to sit still for a picture with his brother. But we did manage to keep him in the frame for a few shots. Holden on the other hand did great. Slept thru everything and let me pose and move him in and out of props. He was great with posing and even did a few of his own. And I love all of his dark hair. The most I’ve seen on a newborn in awhile. I have alot of favorites, enjoy.

Meet baby Mason at 6 days old. He was awesome. Started out awake with great eye contact, then a full belly and right to sleep. Lots of favorites, he let me pose him and move from prop to prop. His parents were so in love with him, but especially his momma Casey. It was wonderful to watch and I love getting to snuggle new babies. I can’t wait to watch him change and grow.

Meet Carolyn, Michael, Sam and the new baby surprise inside that cute little belly. Carolyn booked me for a newborn session then her hubby suggested she get a maternity session too. I’m glad she did and I’m sure she’ll be glad too. Unfortunatly Sam didn’t like the studio light, but did great outside. And atleast if that happens again it’s warm enough to shoot a newborn outside. I think it takes the right kind of person to keep the gender a surprise. I could never do it, but think it’s really cool for the couples who do. I can’t wait to find out, but I know either one will be adorable!

We celebrated the 4th of july last night at my Aunt and Uncle’s house. Everyone had a blast. Good food, water guns, cute tiny puppy, basketball and of coarse fireworks. Today we’ll be celebrating at my moms pool and then watching the local fireworks show. Lots of fun this weekend. I already can’t wait till next year.

I was at JoAnns the other day and saw that the color bubbles were 60% off. So we got a few bottles and had my niece and nephew join in the fun this time. My niece loved it. She colored her brother and Ian all green to be the hulk and didn’t want to wash the colors off. She’s really into art so I had a feeling she would love it. My boys had fun as usual painting themselves and each other.
