Meet Jessica and her hubby Chuck. She’s due any day now and we got her session done just in time. She’s having a girl, woohoo, and I can’t wait to meet her. I already love her name! The first few are really fun and girly, but I really love the ones outdoors. I just wish it wasn’t so hot so we could have done more of the session outside. The heat will come in handy for the newborn session and I hope to get some of Ember outside. I can’t wait!!

My weekend was photoshoot free, so we decided to head back to my mom’s lake house again. The water was up pretty high and the beach that we normally play at was covered. But there was a little spot of sand that we found for the kids to dig in. And while my youngest napped we went exploring with the big kids. They collected quite a few shells and I took pics of the scenery. It was a nice little weekend getaway.

And puppy dog tails. That’s what little boys are made of. Meet Spencer. I photographed his parents wedding a few years ago and now I got to meet their handsome little boy. He’s 6mo and oh so cute. We started the session at the Grapvine Botanical Gardens then headed around the corner to the train depot to finish up. He did great despite the heat. We started early, but it still warmed up fast. I can’t wait to see him again when he’s one. And the weather will be much cooler.

Heather and Mohan invited me to their beautiful home to capture their kids birthday party. Carson was turning 3 and Arlie was turning 1. They put up a cool bouncy house in the backyard. Carson was alittle scared at first and it was really hot, so went spent most of the party inside. I have to give major props to Heather, she actually made those awesome cakes from scratch.  Very cool. All the kids had a great time and really enjoyed their new toys.  Thanks for inviting me, it was a great way to spend my morning. Enjoy your sneak peek, there are many, many more.

Here are my boys again. Just a few playing and a few with their new buzz lightyear water toy. Which they love! It’s fun to watch and a nice way to cool off outside.

On the last few days of my hubby’s vacation we decided on a whim to go to Oklahoma and take the kids to Turner Falls. The water was freezing, we only put our feet in. We hiked alittle, saw a ton of creepy daddy long leg spiders, a long wierd centiped, a cave and a castle. I meant to take a pic of the actual falls, but forgot. But did get a few good ones of the boys. We hope to go back and actually camp there, someday.

Mine and my sister’s family headed to the lake for 4th of July weekend. We were rained out the first 2 days and stuck in the house. But the sun finally came out on sunday so we packed up and went down to the beach. All the kids had a blast. They loved the sand and water. We all got alittle too much sun, but had fun anyways. The babies passed out (they look so cute asleep) and when they woke up we went back to get cleaned up to watch the fireworks. It was a great show across the lake and they were also being set off all around us too.  Both boys loved them and brax would even say “pow” after they went off. All in all a great weekend with the ones I love.
