My last session of 2009 and it was awesome! This little guy was due on Christmas day, but decided he wanted to make his appearance just alittle early. What a wonderful gift. He’s 12 days old here and did fantastic. I have alot of favs to show.

Meet Julian. At 10 days old he decided he didn’t want to miss a thing. I got him to sleep once, but it didn’t last long. He did awesome none the less. And we got 2 good sibling shots, which is very hard with a 22mo old and 10 day old. Thanks for making the long trip to my studio, sorry it was alittle longer than anticipated.

Meet Kaely and her husband. She is positively glowing. They came to my studio to document this very special time in their lives.  They’ve decided to keep the gender of the baby a surprise. Something not many people do these days. I can’t wait to find out if it’s a boy or girl.

Meet Demitri. At 6 weeks old, he’s the oldest baby I’ve got to successfully hang in the stork sack.  He’s technically past the newborn curly sleepy phase, but did awesome awake. He made my job easy. It was an all around great session. Enjoy your sneak peek mom and dad.

Meet Zara. At 3 months old she was truly a doll. This was a lifestyle session taken at their home. Zara did awesome, especially for her age. 3 months is usually a hard age to photograph, but Zara proved that wrong. It was a pleasure to spend the morning with you guys. I can’t wait to watch Zara grow and change thru her first year.

I can’t believe my baby boy is already one. This past year has flown by way too fast. It also feels just like the other day I was laying in the operating room waiting for my c-section feeling very excited and scared all at the same time. Scared how my life would change with 2 kids and 2 boys no less and excited to see him and hold him for the first time. Super excited when I found out he had red hair and alittle shocked he was so big.  I’ve loved watching him change and grow his first year and see just how different he is from his brother. Watching him learn to crawl and then walk all too fast and much sooner than his brother did. Now he just needs to talk. He says a few words, mama, dada and bye bye, but that’s about it. I can’t wait to see what he learns next. I love my little brax and can’t imagine my life without him.

We celebrated with a little photoshoot at the train station. Started out with the birthday boy then got a few of big brother and ended with a family shot.

Meet sweet and adorable Maya. She’s 8 days old here and did great! Her birth was amazing and her first official photoshoot went great as well. I’m so happy and excited for my cousin Kim and her husband Jake. Parenting comes very natural to them, I know they will do great. I can’t wait to watch Maya grow and change thru her first year.

Surreal: marked by the intense irrational reality of a dream. That word and definition describes excatly how I felt after photographing my first Birth.  There are many other words that also describe how the whole experience was for me…….amazed, excited, proud. I could go on and on.  When I arrived to the hospital she was dialated to 8cm and within 15min she was at 10cm and ready to start pushing. She only had to push for about an hour and out came beautiful Maya. I was in awe. I know she will cherish these photos for the rest of her life. And I will always remember my first birth experience and how surreal it was. Enjoy my cousin Kim’s birth photographs. Maya’s newborn photos coming soon.
