Surreal: marked by the intense irrational reality of a dream. That word and definition describes excatly how I felt after photographing my first Birth. There are many other words that also describe how the whole experience was for me…….amazed, excited, proud. I could go on and on. When I arrived to the hospital she was dialated to 8cm and within 15min she was at 10cm and ready to start pushing. She only had to push for about an hour and out came beautiful Maya. I was in awe. I know she will cherish these photos for the rest of her life. And I will always remember my first birth experience and how surreal it was. Enjoy my cousin Kim’s birth photographs.
